Also called eggfruit, the pulp is moist, smooth and sweet when ripe. It is used for a popular milkshake in South America. It is a medium height tree in Florida, usually 20-25 feet. Trees are moderately cold tolerand and can survive several days of excessively wet or flooded soil conditions. Young trees are damaged or killed at or below 29F and mature trees at 23F. We carry 9861 (Trompo) variety. |
